I left the hospital in a fantastic mood today because I, without the help of a doctor, detected a soplito (mild heart murmur) and localized it to the tricuspid valve... being the super nerd that I am I was extremely pleased when I notified the head doctor and he checked and confirmed. BUT that wasn't the best news of the day! I got home and checked my email on my blackberry (yes, it's back in action, thank you mom and AT&T insurance) and I was offered an interview at Temple University School of Medicine!!!
I am still loving each clinical shift at hospital del nino and continuing to learn a lot!
