last week in la paz

I cannot believe that I am leaving in 5 days. The past 2 months have flown by! I am so thankful for this experience, not only has my spanish improved and my knowledge of medicine increased but also my appreciation for everything that the health care system has in the united states. I am determined to be accepted into a medical school that has an international health care program so that I can return to Bolivia and help out even more. I said goodbye to "gordo", my little buddy in the infectology wing on friday. I will post the pic of us together once it is uploaded... he's got the most serious expression ever i am going to print it out and keep it in my wallet. A good reminder as to why I should spend those extra few hours in the library ;)
