I leave in less than 24 hours...

So with my flight itinerary finally fixed (3 hours later and a very apologetic supervisor), I am flying out from Boston at 7:05pm tomorrow evening! I finally packed, although my idea of packing is more cramming everything I could possibly need into a little bag and organizing it when I arrive. It has worked the last few times I have traveled internationally so as long as I keep with Child Family Health International's packing list, I'm pretty sure I'm set. Clinic clothes were the hardest thing to gather up as the job I have right now pretty much keeps me in sweats and sneakers.

Entertainment for the flight has been tricky. I tend to blow through books that I read pretty quickly so I downloaded a bunch of new music, movies, and tv episodes through iTunes. I'm hoping that my 5 days work of music on my laptop and 20-something episodes of CSI and House, M.D. keep me preoccupied. I have trouble sitting still if I'm not focused on something, which can be a problem when you have to be buckled down for 24+ hours!

I'll try to post as many pictures as possible so future CFHI volunteers (and of course friends and family) can see where exactly I am and what I am up to. I am centrally located in La Paz, next to the medical center and institute where I will be attending medical seminars so at least I have some sort of orientation as to where I am when I arrive there...

Fingers crossed for as little altitude sickness as possible!
