estoy en lima. i have a 12 hour layover here and silly me have only USD and bolivian money changed out. meaning i have to find a place to eat here that accepts bank of american debit cards... or visa rather. haha. i'm going to be a brain surgeon i swear. flight here was pretty uneventful, my luggage showed up in bogota, colombia despite the fact that it was supposed to go all the way to lima. thank god i didn't trust the lady at logan airport telling me the little sticker she put on it would make it go through customs... i found it rotating at the conveyer belt. the customs guys got a kick out of the fact that i was voluntarily going to bolivia. i'm not sure why that is so funny... should i be scared?!
the flight attendants have been pretty patient with me as well. once they realize that I can speak Spanish they slow it down a little for me... people down here speak insanely fast. I remember feeling like that when I first got to Spain but I can't remember it being this fast.
alright off to hunt down some bottled water and some form of sustinance. i finished the almonds my mom packed me back in new york.
ps. there is an older woman sitting in front of me with blue hair at the terminal... and my mom thought i was gonna stick out being blonde. ha.

chelsea, i love following this. I hope you are able to continue throughout your time there. i dunno, maybe it is because i am a bored mom waiting for the kids bedtime to arrive and i need something not too committal to read.
